With the mission of improving education environment in Cambodia, MOEYS together with Metfone come to an agreement to continue providing Internet to public schools from 2016 onwards with the project “Metfone Internet in Schools”

Metfone is proud to once again be the partner of MOEYS in this long-term project which it believes with the support of MOEYS will lead Cambodian education to higher level.

The project will be implemented within 5 years starting 2016 in the whole country. This project will provide Telecom incentives packages to 5,000 public schools, teacher training centers, universities and MoEYS Offices which have full capacity for deployment internet. The value of the whole project implementation is 5 million USD.

With the largest internet coverage (both mobile internet and fixed internet) at the highest quality, Metfone believe it will create valuable chances to Cambodian students and teachers even in remote areas with the approach to international education.

These innovative activities of Metfone is recognized to enable Cambodian young generation, Cambodian future leaders to fulfill their potential. It’s the beginning of using your knowledge and IT skills to pave the way to the future of Cambodia. Nearly 1,000,000 students, teachers and educational staffs will be benefited by this program and promise to make major breakthrough among the youth.
